Econotreat VBB-P-2000
ECONOTREAT
Econotreat VBB-P-2000 Advanced Secondary Sewage & Wastewater Treatment System (2000L Per Day)
Proudly manufactured in Northland, the Econotreat VBB-P-2000 is a premier, NZ-made wastewater solution designed to meet the strict environmental demands of modern New Zealand homes and commercial properties. Engineered for ultimate energy efficiency, this trade-quality system runs on a single, highly optimized blower. It delivers consistently superior secondary treatment results while drawing an incredibly low 1.3kWh of power per day, keeping your household running costs to an absolute minimum.
With proven, independently verified nitrogen reduction from the National Testing Facility, the Econotreat VBB-P-2000 is one of the few elite systems fully permitted for installation in environmentally sensitive, restricted discharge areas, such as the Rotorua Lakes catchment.
Engineered for Challenging and Tight-Access NZ Sites
Constructed with lightweight yet exceptionally durable plastic modules, this version is specifically designed for properties with difficult access, steep Kiwi terrain, or tight physical footprints. Unlike heavy concrete alternatives, these modular tanks are easy to transport, maneuver, and install onsite, saving trade professionals and drainlayers valuable time and heavy machinery hire costs.
The Advanced Three-Stage Treatment Process
- Primary Chamber / Tank: Incoming raw wastewater (influent) enters this chamber, where scum and heavy solids naturally separate from the liquid. This primary tank also acts as a secure storage chamber for returned biological sludge from the Clarification Chamber, initiating the breakdown of organic waste.
- Aeration Chamber: Wastewater flows from the primary zone into the aeration tank. Here, a quiet, low-draw air blower introduces oxygen to create an optimal environment for aerobic bacteria and other helpful microorganisms. These organisms settle on the built-in media and rapidly consume the remaining organic matter. The chamber is specifically designed to prevent short-circuiting, ensuring extended, thorough aeration.
- Clarification Chamber: This specialized settlement zone allows any remaining suspended particles to settle out of the treated water. These active biological particles are continuously returned to the primary chambers via a dedicated sludge return. This process assists with biological reduction, drives crucial denitrification, and provides a constant, microbe-rich food supply to keep the system healthy and stable even during periods of low or intermittent flow (perfect for kiwi baches and holiday homes).
Built to NZ Standards with an Expected 50-Year Lifespan
You can buy with complete peace of mind. These tanks are high-pressure injection-molded using UV-stabilized polypropylene, a premium material engineered to withstand the harshest underground conditions. Completely corrosion-resistant and structurally robust, this system meets all strict requirements of Section 4.3.3 of the AS/NZS 1547:2012 New Zealand standards for wastewater treatment containment. This trade-grade build quality ensures an expected operational lifespan of 50 years.
